Volunteer role - Communications and PR Coordinator
What is the role of a Public Relations (PR) Advisor within Girlguiding Dorset County?
· Advise the County Team and other guiding members on the promotion of Girlguiding using promotional materials, the development of external media relationships, compliance with branding guidance and the organisation’s key messages. · Promote ways to access opportunities for development, challenge and adventure within Girlguiding. · Take an active part in supporting the development and promotion of events with Girlguiding Dorset County. · Act as the main point of contact for the central PR Team at Headquarters and other Communications and PR Advisers in the region and county. · Undertake county website maintenance using WordPress working with the County Commissioner and the County Office to add and modify new information, review content prior to publication and to check for accuracy. · Help to develop and create resources that are up to date and comply with Girlguiding branding guidelines for local events. · Raise the profile of the Girlguiding Dorset’s social media engagement. What support will be available to me? · You will work closely with the County Commissioner and the County Team. · There will be appropriate induction to the role and organisation. · Relevant training will be provided. · Agreed expenses will be reimbursed.
