Some young people may find it difficult to tell their leaders how they need to be supported. Communication passports are simple resources you can use with girls who have autism or learning disabilities. They give young people an informal way to tell you all about themselves – without the need to communicate verbally.

Wellbeing action plans are a simple and practical way of proactively helping you to support the mental health of your young members and volunteer team by promoting their wellbeing.
They can also be used support your own mental health.
Personal & health plans
Some of our young members and volunteers may have additional health needs. View our personal and health care plans which facilitate discussions between you and the parent about supporting the member.
By completing an adjustment plan with a young member or volunteer, you can work out what barriers they face and plan the changes, or adjustments, you can make to remove these.
It’s a personalised, practical plan which helps you identify and record adjustments for disabled young members and volunteers.
Safe space training
Girlguiding have created training to assist and help you create an environment within your units where your girls can have fun, grow and learn in an environment where they feel safe and secure.
Notification of accident or incident form
This form should be completed by an adult member of Girlguiding as soon as possible after an accident or incident
